Here's Your Sign

I always thought my message on my voice mail was very clear:

"Hi, you've reached Haylee at 362-8802 . . ."

Today I got the following message:

"Hi, Joy, this is Larry. Just wanted to talk to you about the building over in PG. I'll call you back later. Thanks, Joy. Bye."

Since when was "Haylee" translated as "Joy"? I hope he talked to Joy later on, because she sure wasn't going to call him back on my phone. Funny man.

Oh come on, Joy. Now you're just teasing us about being named Haylee! Ha ha. They DO sound SO familiar though, Joy, I could understand why he'd be confused... ;) It's experiences like that that convince me that children should be taught how to LISTEN, both at home and at school. Far too many people don't listen to each other, they merely hear what they want to. You should call him back and call him some random name like Giovanni instead of Larry.

Joy,
Hey, I don't know if you got my message, but you didn't call me back, so I just told them to go ahead and demolish your house. Ok, bye.

Love, Larry

Hay, are you going to be like everyone else and link everyone's blog to your page? That would be cool. We can do it really fast...we could even set you up tomorrow night, if you want. Rock on. Life still crazy insane-o busy? We miss you in the blogging world. Just not the same without you. (Does it bother anyone else that fragmented sentences are perfectly acceptable in the world of cyberspace? I'm guilty of writing them ALL OF THE TIME!)
