It's been a great start to 09.
The end of first semester at school was a large mile-marker. It went smoothly. It's hard to believe that we're already two weeks into the new term.
Allan and I have been on a Lost marathon this weekend and are now caught up. It's been a fun show to watch--it's kind of a 'smart' show, one you can watch and hypothesize answers to questions.
I'm also putting the finishing touches on the baby shower my sisters and I are throwing for Paige and her baby. It's exciting to anticipate a new baby nephew in five weeks!
But the most current event occurs tomorrow when Allan starts his new job! When he got laid off this past summer, he posted his resume on a job profile website called LinkedIn. A company called him in mid-December and said they found his resume on the website and asked him for an interview. He went in and interviewed. We didn't hear back for a while because of the holidays, but when we finally did, they made him an offer. He told CirclePix, they made a counteroffer, but we decided to go for the new company, SolutionStream. It will be an amazing opportunity for Allan, he'll get lots of good experience, and the benefits are great, too. It's an American Fork, and so on some days we'll be able to carpool. He'll be a flex programmer, and you can see the company's impressive website here. I'm very proud of Allan and his in-demand skills!
I think that's all for now. Hope all is well with each of you!

Awesome! Congrats to Allan!
It's so crazy to think that Paige's baby is almost here! Wow! What a fun time for everyone...happy aunt-ing! ;)
And I'm glad to hear that things are going so smoothly at school. That's excellent...but it's not that we expect anything less than "amazing" from you, Mrs. Stewart! :)
We should hang sometime soon.
Way to go, Allan. That rocks.
Wahoo for Allan's job!! And wahoo for Paige's baby. And Wahoo for school going well. I have your movie girl...I did get your text I just haven't responded...I'm a slacker.
