My Worst Fear

This morning one of my worst fears came true.

I woke up and looked at faint hints of light coming through the curtains. I immediately looked at the clock.

Crap.

Double crap.

Holy crap.

7:19am.

I overslept!

"Allan, it's 7:19!" I screamed, jumping out of bed.

My shaking hands managed to call the high school to tell the front office I needed someone to let my class in and get them started on the day's assignment. I had the quickest shower in existence, stabbed my contacts in, pulled my hair into some sort of bun, put the least amount of make-up on my face that I could stand, dressed, and ran out the door at 7:40. During the 21 chaotic minutes, Allan put lunch together and scrapped my car. After a quick kiss and hug, I was off.

The high school parking lot was FULL (why, world, why?), but I managed to find a spot and run to my room by 8:00am. I thanked the tracker who was watching the class and pulled myself together. Thankfully A1 is a good class, and the students were working diligently on the assignment.

And as I looked in a mirror to make sure everything looked half-way decent, I realized I still had pillow indentations on my face.

Wow, that's intense! Poor you. But at least you pulled it together and did amazingly well, as usual! :)

Fancy new background!

Oh Lee! I'm so sorry! That happened to Comer last year...on the first day of school! She now has two alarm clocks that are set every night, one on the nightstand and the other on across the room. Ha! Ha! I'm sure this will happen to me...it's only a matter of time. :)

Sad day. I have done that before. And it seems like that adrenelin rush doesn't go away for a while. It seems like your heart keeps pounding all day. I set two alarms now. My alarm clock and my cell phone (one for the time I need to get up and one for the absolute latest I can get up and make it). I generally get up on the first one cause the second one is really annoying.

And how sweet of Allan to make your lunch and scrape your car.

Jo, it's SO true! I felt my heart pounding all day long...it felt like a weird day the entire day.

It is also true that Allan is sweet. =)
