Holy Crap

This entry is entitled Holy Crap because, well, I find all of the stuff to be exciting and exasperating all at once.

I saw Bourne Ultimatum on Saturday and holy crap it was great! It was an adrenaline rush. They tied up all the loose ends. It was action packed. And Matt Damon is hot. Enough said. I would highly recommend it for those of you who liked the other two Bourne movies.

School starts in 15 days. I have to be at the school officially by the 15th. It's not like I haven't been there anyway, but holy crap the summer has flown by! I feel much more calm than I did last summer, but I also don't think I'm letting myself realize school is starting again. Hopefully I'll be ready by the 21st! It will be good to have students again, to feel like I'm making a difference in a few lives, and get back into teaching.

So, today I received two callings. Holy crap, this ward likes to do things in doubles, I guess. I am on the ward prayer committee (not that I'm doubting my calling, but they need a committee to do ward prayer?), and I am the music chair. That means I'm in charge of all the music that goes on. I choose the sacrament hymns, arrange musical numbers, etc. I'm also supposed to start a ward choir. Ha. Let's see if that happens.

And now, the last bit of holy crap. I talked to a boy today. Hold your applause for a minute or two, please. He came and sat next to me last Sunday and we chatted. Then today he came up and said hi to me. Then tonight at ward prayer he came and sat by me and we chatted again. He saw the Bourne movie this weekend too so we talked about that, and then some other odds and ends . . . he walked me back to my apartment, too. Oh, I know it's super girly of me, but I haven't had that happen to me in a long time, and I haven't felt the butterflies in my stomach for a long time either. So, it was good. If nothing else happens, at least I felt this little cloud of jubilation for one night. Now you can begin your applause.

That's all, my friends. I sincerely hope you are all doing well. Loves, etc.

Wahoo!!! Watch out for those walks after ward prayer though...they can get you in trouble. :)

I'm trying to talk Lyle into going to the Bourne Ultimatim this week...we'll see what we can do.

Glad Bourne is good.

Thanks again for your help Saturday!

What are you talking about!? You are TOTALLY prepared for school...little Miss Color-Coordinated hand-outs! :) You go, girl! You go!!!

Wow, two callings? Is your ward relatively small? Those actually sounds like fun things to do...coordinate ward prayer (we had a "show and tell" of sorts in one of my wards...a person was assigned to bring three objects that represented them each week) and have control over the music! That would rock! You could pick cool songs and stuff! Sweet!

*Applause*

Oh, right. Well, forget that applause for a second. What is the boy's name? Does he have tastely credentials? Age? Height? Weight? Hair color? What does he do for a living? What are his goals and ambitions?

JUST KIDDING!

Hooray for butterflies and walks down a moonlit road.

*Applause* ;)

I don't think that Al was really kidding. We really do want to know name, age, what he does, where he's from, what his family is like......

(Well, it never hurts...)

I think you're jumping the gun a bit. Let's see if he asks me out on a date before everyone gets all involved.

You go, Haylee! That's awesome. Hey, twinner callings. (Did you guys used to say "twinner" when you were kids?) Have fun being the ward music bookie. :)
And hooray for butterflies.
