I feel compelled to write a post. I don't know why, I just do. Nothing exciting has happened, nothing too awful either. I guess I feel I must put in my two cents for the next two weeks now so I won't have to worry about it later.
Thanks for coming to the party Al and Deb! Thanks for putting on a great show, Al; Deb, thanks for the candle and bringing your sister, too! Jo, we won't even go into how big of a SLACKER you are. ;)
I feel somewhat saddened that all I have to talk about is school. But that is the honest to goodness truth. That's all I do, day in and day out. Tomorrow I'm giving a test. It is an AMAZING test (if I do say so myself), and I feel it really tests if kids understand the information, not just throw it up on some piece of paper. Writing tests is hard, but there is a certain amount of delight to it.
Today was early out day, and if there ever was a more necessary evil in the world, this is it. We need to get together, to have meetings, to talk, to work out whatever, but there is so much more I could be doing with my time. On one hand, I feel like "Let's talk about how we are supposed to teach all these kids doing real science with no money!" On the other hand, I feel like "Let me go and work out how I am going to teach these kids real science with no money--stop putting me into meetings!" But, they are good for something, and I'm glad I have them.
With all that said, there are two main questions in my mind: 1) When can I pre-order the new extended Josh Groban CD?" and 2) When is that blasted The Devil Wears Prada going to come out on DVD?

Thanks for letting us come, Hay! Your apartment is very cosy and comfortable. The party was fun! (I have wounds from Spoons.)
I LIKE to hear about what's going on at school. Keep it comin'. Good luck with the test. I'm sure your students will do well. I tried to do some research on those release dates and came up with nothing.
Hooray for great tests!!! Sorry I wasn't there, the neice and nephew were slightly more of a handfull that expected (my sister-in-law not only left me with Logan (5) and Jayden (2) but also Brendan (5 months). I'm not ready for three kids those ages all at once. At least they slept through the night.
Hey, Jo, it's okay that you didn't come. I understand. Really, no worries!
