A Moral Dilemma of Haylee, the Teacher

There was a certain child in one of my classes that was causing me quite a lot of grief. I took advice from everyone I could, I prayed, I searched . . . and nothing worked. Whatever--I could deal with it.

But today, this child came to me with a paper. He is transferring to another school. Of course, the "I'm sorry you're leaving us" side of me took over as I signed his paper and sent him off, but afterward I closed my little door and did a happy dance both inside and out.

Is it wrong of me to be so happy? I think not, my friends, because now I can actually teach without having to do damage control all of the time. Ah, the moral dilemmas. But this dilemma is one I am more than happy to have.

Well, I'm glad your problem child is a problem no more. Elizabeth is LOVING your class so keep it up. She's a little bit worried about the bug thing though. (getting enough that is). Also...HOW WAS THE DATE?????

I'd like to see this happy dance of yours...both inside and out!!! ;)

Yes, indeed! HOW WAS THE DATE!?

No date, sad day. He was really pushing it for a few days, but now nothing. Oh, well. I'm not feeling super great (darn disease-bag children), and so what energy I have left is going into putting together pathetic lessons.

Sigh.

You mean he called you and you said no?
