I am an official college student as of today. Although I have been going to BYU for several semesters, it was just today that I was initiated into the official college student club. How did this happen?
First you need to understand Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. I was up until 2:30am doing homework, planning lessons, and generally losing my mind. When my alarm clock rang at 7:30am, I thought I was going to die. But I pulled myself out of bed and made it to school.
The exhaustion caught up with me about 3:00, and by the time I made it to art history, I was ready for a nap. We were talking about Greek classical art, and although it is exciting, a girl can only hear about the bronze warrior statue so many times. As the professor droned on and on about how great the Greeks were, I closed my eyes and . . .
I jerked awake about five minutes later. I, Haylee Ferguson, fell asleep in class. It is true, and although it makes me wonder and feel bashful, I am not ashamed. I am now welcomed into the official college student club. Cheers!

I can't believe you went all this time without falling asleep in a single class! (HOW COULD YOU NOT FALL ASLEEP IN ORGANIC CHEMISTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!) I am really finding this hard to believe! What have you been doing all you college (and high shool) career?
Hooray! Congratulations and WELCOME to the world of "college student!" Though I must warn you, it's not all it's cracked up to be... Wow, Hay. I'm truly proud, like a mother. :) The first step, falling asleep in class, the next step, missing class entirely in order to stay asleep in your very own bed!!! ;)
Hooray! Three cheers! We need to make you some kind of medal or throw you a party.
I'm so glad that you are now officially initiated. I don't think I've ever fallen asleep in a class yet..although I have done many other funny and unusual things.
Yes Jo, you are full of funny and unusual things! ;) I'm so past dozing in class, I simply don't get out of bed to begin with. It's becoming a SERIOUS problem this semester! Eeek! Oh well. All I have to do is pass...all I have to do is pass...all I have to do is pass... :)
Ditto to Deb. I'm all about parties! I LOVE partying! Let's! We could call it our Initiation Party and have all sorts of crazy initiation games and play truth or dare and stay up late and watch movies and eat yummy treats and tell funny stories and we could wear our P.J.s! Wait...that sort of sounds like a slumber party...for 14 year olds! Ha! I love how we never age in certain areas of life! :)
But speaking of parties, what's everyone's December looking like? We need to have our annual Selytina dinner, Haylee's birthday, and a "see you in four months, but not really because we'll visit sort of thing" party. That's THREE NIGHTS that need to be free. I know we can do it!!! Get me some dates and we'll start planning!!!
