There are days when I am on top of my game . . .

. . . and there are days when I am not. But, thankfully, today I was superbly on top of my game. I arrived at school to find out I had no power in my lab benches. I quickly contacted a custodian, but then my mind whizzed as I made plans B and C. Plan A was to do a microscope lab, which obviously can't be done without power for the microscope lights to work on. Thankfully, the power was restored five minutes into the period, and I didn't have to resort to plan B or C. I felt good, however, knowing that I still can quickly make up plans B, C, D, etc., and that I haven't quite lost my touch.

I also feel quite accomplished in the fact that I have been engaged for 11 days and the Temple, reception hall, and photographer are scheduled. I know what invitations I want--I just need to order them. (You can go to http://www.jaffaprinting.com/invitations/contemporary2/tiffanytwotone/tiffanytwotone.htm to check them out!) I'm going to a florist on Thursday. I have my premarital exam (eek!) scheduled, a dentist appointment scheduled, a day to go dress shopping . . . I'm feeling pretty on top of it right now.

It's just nice to know I haven't lost my school touch either. =)

You are SO on top of things! If only I had your superb organizational skills and motivation my costumes might already be done by now!

Way to be on top of your game, girl! Wahoo! Everyone needs days like that...to remember just how amazing and talented they are. :)

As for the announcements, lovely. Though that looks more like milk chocolate to me... ;) I'm making up a "mock" bridal invite, waiting for your approval and go ahead before mass are made. :)

Florists are exciting! What type of flowers are you thinking about?

The premarital exam is no biggie...I most STRONGLY URGE YOU to get dilators and use them every day for the two months before your wedding night. (Sorry to put that in your blog, but everyone who reads this needs to know that they are an essential and very necessary tool in ensuring that your honeymoon is enjoyable and FUN!) We can talk... :)

Are you going to have your teeth whitened? I just used one of those crest whitening over night strips...good stuff!

YOU ROCKETH!!! Excited for the dress shopping! :) Loves!

That is much too scandalous for HAYLEE'S blog. On some other blogs it can be expected :)

Sorry, it's a simple fact of life. :)

Please forgive me for bringing scandal to Haylee's blog! ;)

Although, if you've been using Tampons as opposed to Pads, you should be fine. (from a purely medical stand point. :) )

Al said...

Sorry, Jo, but no, I don't agree. Tampons might help stretch you out a little, but not enough (Tampons are tiny!)! If you want to truly have an enjoyable first night together, YOU NEED DILATORS!!! Seriously, it's going to be slightly uncomfortable as it is...no sense in having a painful experience!

It's all about those four little plastic sizes, my friends! Trust me! :)

Seriously, if you don't listen to me or take my advice on anything else, that's fine, but this is the one thing I really wish you will all do (for both your sake and his...)!!!

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. :) There are THOUSANDS of ladies who have had enjoyable wedding nights without dialters.

Honeymoons can be enjoyable and fun without them.

. . . thanks for the advice, ladies. We'll have to see what the GYN says on Wednesday.

Jo said...

Who are you going to?

Haylee said...

Kelly Parker. She's a nurse practitioner (sp?) in Lind and Lameroux's office.

Jo said...

That's right. I've heard good things about her...too bad the doctors go with her.

What do you mean, Jo?

Jo said...

They have a 90% induction rate...which means they don't let people go into labor on their own which makes for longer labor and more tearing. They have the highest induction rate in the state.

I really like the ladies at the Mt. Timp Women's Clinic. My Nurse Practitioner is from Africa, I think. She rocks!

Wednesday as in tomorrow?

Let me know if they actually do anything to you...my premarital exam consisted of talking about sex, dilators, and birth control, but no actual exam. They told me to come in a month or two after I got married, so that I would be more comfortable, since I hadn't had sex before. It was a nice way to go, I thought. I was more comfortable and the actual exam was no biggie.

Good luck! :)

True, Jo, thousands upon thousands have made it work for them...

I'm just saying, the technology's there, why not utilize it and make everyone happy!? ;)

Woah. This is quite the heated discussion.
