In the comments of my last post, Alisyn cried out for a new one. But I really do not know what to write. In fact, nothing eventful has happened as of late. So, I will try to ramble about something and see if anything interesting appears.
Al referred to my bridal shower in her past comments and what I'd like. I really don't know. It would be exciting to have a bed and bath theme because, truthfully, I'm kind of stocked with regards to my kitchen needs. In fact, Allan and I have decided that we can register for fun stuff instead of just the normal stuff because we have a lot of the normal stuff. So, I'm thinking we'll register at Bed, Bath, and Beyond (or maybe Target) and then maybe Best Buy or some place like that. But, with a bed and bath shower, I realize items are more expensive and/or need to cater to my particular taste . . . I'm undecided as to what would be exciting, easy, and helpful. Maybe you girls have some good ideas?
The New Year's Eve party was a blast. I sometimes forget how much fun we have when we're all together. And as for dragging your significant others around, don't they do the same with you? I'm more than happy to be with Allan and his friends, and I'm also glad that he is happy with reciprocating.
It is my prep hour right now, and I should be doing work. But I don't really feel like it. I feel like taking a nap or continuing to write for a little bit.
There are only 10 more school days until Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Yes, I'm counting down to every holiday because it gives me something to shoot for. It looks as if March will be the month from the abyss because there are no holidays, it is still dark and cold, and it feels like spring break will never arrive. I'm just glad I don't live in Alaska. Or Antarctica for that matter.
I did the spider mating dance for my zoo/bot kids today, and I think it went over well. At first the kids didn't know whether they should laugh or not, but by the end they were enjoying my humiliation. I even got some applause. I told the kids they should try some of the moves on a date to see if things like appendage waving or presenting a dead insect really helps attract a mate.
If you haven't been to Roberts lately, you really should go. They have extremely cute Valentine's Day decorations out. I'm tempted to go buy some, but my budget is really tight this month, and so I'll have to wait until February to make my purchases.
Is that enough of a post? I really just rambled, but this is Haylee's Random Rambling after all. Some of it was quite stream of consciousness.
Have a fantastic weekend! I'm now going to look for bed linens on-line! :)

Ha! Bravo, that was wonderful! THANK YOU for posting! Blogs are for randomness...not just well thought-out posts about exciting events. They are for all days, all types. So thanks for appeasing me. :)
As for the Bridal Shower, I already have a decoration/invitation theme rolling around in my brain (which I will ok with you unless you want it to be a surprise), but the gift theme was causing havoc! So bed and bath...linens? That could be fun. I know of some ways to get around the whole "what is Hay's style" thing so that you don't end up with dolphins. No offense to any one who wants a dolphin bathroom... :) How many bathrooms does Allan's condo have? What color is your bedroom going to be? (Or rather, what would you LIKE it to be!?)
Now, you mentioned being "stocked with kitchen needs," does that include cases of stuff/food storage items?
FUN!
You know, I still haven't seen the mating dance. You should have told me you were doing it so that I could have come...!!! Sad day! I'm sure they will never forget that lesson. :)
I'm glad you had a great time at the party! I tried hard to make it fun for everyone. I LOVE getting together with you people...you make me laugh SO HARD and I LOVE IT! Does laughter act as a happy drug...like running? Endorphens? (sp?)
Sorry to bring up your Bridal Shower so early in the game, I just get so excited about planning parties! Eh! I was up all night with a migraine, so I thought of nothing but your Bridal Shower! It was fun! I hope at least some of my dream for it will become a reality!
Oh, and Deb! I thought about your living room theme...what about the red couch? And my three black ottoman things? Honestly, a bookshelf would be pretty dang cool too! You wanting some rugs again? I have all of my little black shelf cube things...
Roberts is dangerous... I went when all the Christmas stuff was 75% off! I limited myself, though. When is it ok to start decorating for Valentine's? End of Jan.?
What are your plans for the weekend?
I thought that was an excellent post. You really should take that mating dances class at the zoo in Feb. Maybe your man would like to go with you. (You really should consider it.)
(Alisyn, why can't you post like that on your own blag...all the time. :)
I personally agree with Shannon that Al should post on her "blag" more frequently like this long comment. :)
Al, I like the food storage idea (that was one of my favorite showers) or the linen's one. Either way. Or we could go naughty...... hehehehehehe!!!
I think that January is a perfect time to start decorating for Valentine's day. And they do say laughter is the best medicine.
And I loved your post Haylee!!
We are quite hilarious, aren't we? And I have to say that our significant others have just added to the fun. They are all crazy in their own way.
That was an awesome post! You should do more Haylee's Random Rambling posts. Spider mating dance, eh? Do you have this on video. You should record it next time and post it on You Tube. :)
I agree with Shannon about Al's posting too.
And I agree with Jo about our significant others just making it more fun.
Sounds like we're all in agreement. :)
How'd the ballet recital go?
Ultimately, it's Hay's call as for what she'd like for gifts. (Wow, weird sentence.) We can do linens...I would just need some specifics. And OF COURSE we shall get her something naughty!!! ;) We just won't embarrass her in front of her entire Bridal Shower crowd...that's for the after party!
Sorry I'm a slacker poster. I shall hang my head in shame!
Mating dance on You Tube!? That would be AWESOME! Speaking of which, did you see Nick's peel out on You Tube, Deb? He's really proud of that A-4!
It's nice to agree. :)
Yes, Hay, how was it!? I REALLY wish I could have been there! Stupid head of mine! Did anyone video it for me? Did I mention to ya'll that I'm taking another Belly Dancing class and that I've roped my sister Anna into doing it with me!? Wahoo! Eric and I are also taking a beginning ballroom class together...I LOVE THAT MAN!!! :)
The ballet recital went well. It brought back a lot of memories from my youth.
I'm all for the food storage shower idea. I'm really a slacker at FOOD storage. (SOAP and LOTION storage, on the other hand, not so much!)
And I've already visited Vickie's . . . and bought something. Am I scandalous?
Completely! :) So, it would appear that you need a new post also.
