I just about had a breakdown in B4 today. We were taking notes. I had given them a PowerPoint guide to fill in the blanks. I was asking questions, and no one was paying attention. So then I asked a question to a specific kid, and he acted all uncaring about it, and I just went off. I went off about how lazy they were and how they needed to grow up. Then I went into the fact that I had put a lot of effort into the lesson, and the fact they were disrespectful filled me with disgust. Anyway, I was so angry that I was close to tears.
Thankfully I didn't break down in front of them.
But I still just want to sob.

I'm sorry. With the caliber of kids around right now you're bound to have classes like that, but that doesn't make it any easier. Good luck. (Was that Whytnee's class?)
Don't have a breakdown! I will do it for you, but it needs to be after this weekend :)
How did the kids respond? Has their behavior improved?
Do you guys remember the lecture Allsop-Day gave us? I was almost on the verge of tears! That was a sad, sad day.
SO, I hope your kids (despite their tendencies toward immaturity) recognized how much you care about them and the learning process and act a little better and strive a little harder for you...
