Still in Albuquerque

It is a lovely Thursday morning here in the most boring town in the US. Oh, I've been busy enough with science fair to keep occupied, but as we've traveled around town and viewed Albuquerque, I've decided I'd never like to live here.

Anyway, today is the first of three award ceremonies. Tuesday we visited Old Town (thanks for the suggestion, Deb!), and I bought the most fantastic turquoise necklace. It's gorgeous, and I'm super excited about it. Yesterday as all of the kids were being judged, we went to the zoo and the aquarium. Dave van Dijk--or as I like to call him, Party-All-Night-van-Dijk--and I have become chaperon buddies and have had tons of fun. Last night was the adult mixer in the natural history museum. It was a blast.

I think that's it for now. I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping for the best in the award ceremonies!

Van Dijk is cool. I'm glad you get to hang out with him! What did you do at the mixer? Was there dancing?

One of my students called the city "the craphole of America." I'm afraid I might agree with him!
