I was a teacher all weekend long.

When the last student leaves on Friday, when I finally get out of the school, I feel the weekend upon me. It is sort of a liberating feeling. But I, Miss Ferguson, saw a student every day this weekend.

Friday:

Went to Costco. Saw good zoo/bot student and her mother. Conversed. Good times.

Saturday:

Saw student at chapel. More on this in a minute.

Went to mall to acquire Josh Groban CD. Saw biology student. He said "Hi" first; I smiled and replied "Hi" back.

Sunday:

Left my apartment for church at 8:45am. Heard "Ferguson!" while walking to car. Funny zoo/bot student was dropping someone off. Now student knows where I live. Good times.

On a more serious note:

Miss Shelley--okay, I call her Laurel--grabbed me before I left Friday afternoon and told me one of my student's mother had died. She told me about the viewing and suggested I should attend. So Saturday morning, instead of fulfilling my usual task list of cleaning and catching up on TV and R&R in my PJs, I put on nylons, high heels, and a skirt and went to a viewing.

It's crazy how much my heart was breaking for this poor, little girl. I suppose it comes with the job. I have 150 of my very own. It's amazing how much I love those kids!

You go, teacher lady!

Sad day about the girl's mother. Death is not a fun experience.

So, you ready for a break? 68 degrees and sunny? :)

Hey you guys, I'm going to be in St. George this weekend too!! We should totally meet and go out to dinner...

I'm sorry you had to do your job all weekend...know how that goes.

Are you taking capri's?????

St. George, huh? Have fun ladies. And you go teacher lady Haylee. I guess you're going to have trouble separating the Haylee-teacher from Haylee-person from now on, especially when you have weird little sycophantic students (like me and Alisyn with A-D) tailing you everywhere you go.

Tee hee hee! Poor A-D! :)

Deb, you want in on the St. George action!? Oh, that's right! You're gigging it up this weekend! Sigh.

Yes, capris all the way, baby! It's going to be 68 and sunny!!! :)

Awesome. It would be sweet to hook up with you and Lyle...Anna would love to see you both! (My parents will be out of town, so it's just us girls partying at the house!) Wahoo!

When are you heading out, Jo? Hay and I are leaving Friday at 3:30 and heading home Monday around...???...2ish? Maybe later? (When do you need to head back, Hay?)

We're heading down around 11 on Friday and coming back Monday around noon. Maybe I'll pull out some capri's. I have some really cute new jeans that make my butt look small.....

It is official I have replaced A-D with the costume teacher. I know...it's a big decision but I believe it is final.

*GASP! Choking. Struggling for air.*

Woah. I don't even know what to say to that, Shannon. I'm in utter and complete shock.

Sigh.

I suppose she's isn't to everyone what she is to Debra and myself.

Sigh again.

What is said costume teacher's name? What makes her qualified for so lofty of a replacement? ;)

Sweet, Jo. Drive safe. :)

Have your people call my people...we'll hook up sometime.

I am so ready for this break. Three children are lucky today that I didn't kill them.

Looks like I signed up to be able to post on your blog Fergus...weird, I don't remember doing that. Well, I want all you lovely ladies to know that you have an anonymous reader every once in a while. I love to hear what you're up to etc. I love Deb's dry comments, I love how you all get excited about capris, I love you guys...what can I say? Anyhow...if you're wondering, this is Emily Ruth Lyon, you know...tall, ummm...tall, yeah.

I hope you all enjoy your weekend in St. George. It's pretty darn late right now, and I don't really believe I can be held accountable for the things I'm saying if they offend or don't make sense. However, the ones that are kind are sincerely meant. I'm just helping a certain gentleman ;) finish up a business plan for a competition.

Oh my goodness EMILY! You are sooo sneaky!

The costume teacher's name is Brenda. Her highly expert qualifications I could list to no end. Her major qualification, and the only one that really matters, is that she is MY A-D. Everything you love about A-D I love about Brenda.

What the?!?!? Emily!!!! I haven't talked to you in FOREVER!!! How are you doing? We need to get together sometime. Seriously! I need to know about your life!

Welcome, Emily, to our online community! Do you have a blog?

Jo said...

Yeah Em! Do you??? Is the certain said gentleman the one I met at conference?

Jo said...

Do you have a blog that is...
