Two Months Old and Other Stuff

Another month has passed! Baby boy is now two months old. He went to his two month doctor's visit today. He weighs 12 lbs 8 oz and is 24 inches long. He also got his first round of vaccines. I didn't even cry, although Charlie sure did. The nurses were really great and poked him very quickly and handed him off to me. Everything else looked really great. We were sick about a week and a half ago (both me and Charlie) which was kind of miserable; but, thankfully, we are feeling better. So, along with our first sickness, we've had our first Thanksgiving, first Church-going, first bath, and first "coos." Charlie is actually quite the talker now. It's one of my favorite things! I was going to post a video of him talking, but it's way too big. Sad day.

Instead, here are some still pictures.

This is one Shelby took of him. I like it. He likes bouncing in his bouncer.

We have a little jungle gym thing, and he's starting to like it and interact with it more. We caught a little smile.

He's my best friend!

He is so much like his daddy sometimes. The looks he gives me make me think of Allan all the time. Plus, he looks like his daddy, who I happen to think is quite handsome. ;)

Other than Charlie, not much else is going on with me. I went back to work when he was six weeks old, and it's' been okay. We had a good Thanksgiving, and Allan and I counted our many blessings. We are so grateful for good jobs, a warm home, our little boy, the Gospel, each other, our families . . . I could go on and on. =) One thing I'm particularly grateful for this year is my body. It may not be a shape or size I like right now, but it has done some amazing things this year. It has nurtured a little baby and continues to nourish him. It really is amazing!

We put up the Christmas tree and other decorations. It's a good time of year. Hope all is well with each of you!

Cute smiley pictures. I am glad you are so thoroughly enjoying your little one. First babies are such a special experience where we learn a whole new aspect of love.

Oh, and BTW. I am no more impressive than any other mother. I just am on my third, and experience counts for a lot!
