Here is the baby touching his nose. His face is in profile view.

In this picture, his lips appear to be pressed up against something, and you can see his little nostrils.

This is a picture of his heart. The doctor measured his heart rate (140 bpm). There are four chambers in the heart (wahoo!).

This picture isn't very good, but it's of his little foot.

This is another view of his face. He's looking straight at you. You can see his little forehead, eye sockets, nose, and upper lip. And I know he looks like an alien.

And this is our clear shot of the gender. I kind of feel weird putting this up, but here it is. The doctor said, "Well, we can never be 100% sure, but this is like 99% sure."

Along with everything being healthy, he is big. He's measuring 9 days ahead. (Yesterday I was 22 weeks and 2 days, and he was measuring 23 weeks and 4 days.) They don't adjust the due date unless it's more than two weeks, so I'm still at September 22 for a due date.
In other news, I went to ISEF the week of mother's day. This is me in a clam at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I had a similar picture taken back in 2001 when I was a student at ISEF, so it's kind of sentimental.

We went to San Fransisco on Wednesday when the students were in judging. It was fun. We walked around Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf, and Ghirardelli Square. This a picture of my by the bay with Alcatraz behind me.

It was a fun trip, but I was tired for a lot of it. It was a good primer for our DC trip in June. I know better my limits and how we need to go about touring the city. (Translation=very slowly, with lots of breaks and bathrooms).
On the home front, Allan jackhammered a section of our back patio so we could plant a garden.

This is the finished garden. It will look awesome when all the flowers come in and the honeysuckle starts to fill the trellis. We planted onions, a tomato, and a green pepper. It will be nice to go to the back for those fresh items this summer.
I think that's all for now. I have so many blessings. The Lord has been so good to us.
