Goodbye #1: Farewell, SolutionStream! For the past year, Allan's been working for SolutionStream. It's been a good job, one with which we were extremely blessed. He was doing contracting work for Pearson Education up in Draper for the entire year and got very connected with the Pearson company. So:
Hello #1: Pearson made an offer, and we accepted. Hello, Pearson! The transition to Pearson has been almost seamless, as Allan is doing the work he'd already been doing. He's just employed by Pearson now instead of SolutionStream. He has the official title of "Senior Programmer." Very official. It's brought some welcome changes and eased some fears that have come because of the next goodbye.
Goodbye#2: Goodbye to American Fork High School at the end of this school year because:
Hello #2: Hello, Baby Stewart! The baby is due September 22, 2010. I'm 13 weeks along. I went in today and heard the heart beat (150bpm), and the doctor said my blood work and everything else looks really good. When we went in for my initial exam at nine weeks, we had a rather interesting talk with the doctor about pregnancy/life after baby, and I had my pelvic exam and a sonogram. We had a bleeding scare at the end of January, so I was anticipating the sonogram VERY much to see that everything was okay. When the machine clicked on and I saw that little baby, it was amazing. We could see the little heart fluttering, which was so relieving!. We saw a head, little nubs for arms and legs, and the yolk sac. Everything the doctor saw looked good. I've been exhausted, nauseated (I've become quite the snacker and little-meal eater), and turned off by almost every food that used to sound good.
Baby at 9 Weeks

I will actually return to teach the labs class next year, so I won't completely leave AFHS. There's no one to really hand the class over to, so I'm still going to run it and hopefully find my replacement and train them. I'll also be training someone to take over my Renaissance duties. I'm still unsure of how I'll run the class the six weeks after I've had the baby, but I'll worry about that when it gets closer.
Hello #2 is my favorite. =)

Woohoo!!!!!! I had my suspicions about this. :) Congratulations! So happy to hear it.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! :) I love it! Woot!
Congrats! I knew it from your last post. :-) Wow, this is the third baby that is due around my b-day! And I bet none of them will be born on my b-day. LOL
Congrats to you too! That would be an interesting coincidence if our babies decided to come on the same day . . .
I haven't passed the sick days yet. I can't hold down my dinner very well.
It is all worth it to get a sweet little bundle!
Congratulations! Yay for good news!
Haylee...I am soooo excited for you. You will be such a good little mom. (Grant will be happy to have a friend that is possibly born around his first birthday!) Hope you feel better soon (what am I saying...there are a myriad of interesting experiences ahead for you and all of us that have been through it would do it again for the sweet little angels). Love you, Trish
