Completing the Analogy

Allan and I were reading Sister Beck's talk from the last conference. We read this statement:

When we plan, we ask what the Lord needs us to learn and become in order to be prepared for eternal life. In the wisdom of the Lord, every ward has its own unique characteristics, which no other ward shares. This can be compared to the DNA that identifies every human being as unique.

I kind of laughed a little. The DNA analogy thing wasn't really working for me. Allan commented that she really needed to complete the analogy for it to be effective. I made something up. Here it is.

The Relief Society room is like the nucleus. It's where the knowledge is contained. We as sisters transcribe that information into notes and thoughts and then take them out of the nucleus into our homes. Our homes are like the ribosomes where the information is synthesized and put to use.

Should I be writing a letter to Sister Beck anytime soon?

I love it! Yes, you really should write a letter... although I think the rest of the anaolgy may be lost on many. ;)

Yes!! She is a friend of my mom's, so just let me know when you have it drafted and I'll pass it on. :-)
